I remember it all. My grandfather worked at Detroit Edison.

We used to ride downtown with my grandmother on the bus, shop at Hudson's (eat in their cafeteria) and then walk over to Edison at the end of the day, where my grandfather would drive us home.

Part of the magic of Christmas for me was a trip to downtown Hudson's and a trip to the Ford Rotunda with my parents.

Did you ever see the Phillies Cigars book of historic Tiger greats? That was one of my fvorite possessions for a long time. I read it and reread it. In 1961, I had a Topps baseball card for every Tiger, including the ones who had been traded during the year.
